About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential blockchain intelligence organization seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst with deep expertise in DPRK and China-focused cryptocurrency threats. This is a specialized, high-impact role based in London where you will serve as the subject-matter expert on North Korean state-sponsored crypto operations and Chinese money-laundering networks.

Our client sits at the forefront of cryptocurrency intelligence, providing critical data that supports investigations into some of the world's most significant criminal and national-security cases. As their DPRK and China analyst, you will own end-to-end attribution for these threat actors, mapping how stolen and illicit funds move through the global crypto ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Own comprehensive attribution for DPRK state-sponsored theft and laundering operations, IT-worker networks, and Chinese-language OTC and underground-banking networks
• Lead rapid attribution responses to sanctions events involving DPRK actors or Chinese laundering networks, delivering high-visibility intelligence under tight deadlines
• Trace how stolen funds move through mixers, cross-chain bridges, no-KYC swaps, and off-ramps, following DPRK hack proceeds into Chinese laundering infrastructure
• Produce finished intelligence products including advisory notes, customer briefings, and contributions to flagship publications
• Serve as the external expert voice, representing the organization at conferences, panels, media engagements, and partner briefings
• Shape collection priorities for DPRK and China intelligence requirements, directing what data is needed to maintain current understanding of these networks
• Translate threat actor methodologies into detection guidance that products and customers can operationalize
• Design and implement AI-driven automation to scale analytical capabilities across the team

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Deep, demonstrable expertise in DPRK state-sponsored crypto operations (exchange and bridge hacks, IT-worker schemes) and/or Chinese-language money laundering, OTC networks, and organized-crime finance
• Direct on-chain tracing experience against DPRK or Chinese targets, or deep DPRK/China threat-finance expertise combined with proven blockchain-tracing skills
• National-security or threat-finance background from intelligence communities, sanctions authorities, law enforcement, military, research institutions, or private-sector counter-threat-finance work
• Strong understanding of DPRK and Chinese illicit-finance ecosystems and regional money-laundering flows
• 5+ years of relevant analytic, intelligence, or threat-finance experience (8+ years for Staff-level consideration)
• Exceptional writing and communication abilities for both technical and senior audiences
• AI-forward approach to building automation that scales analytical work
• Comfort working with data; blockchain forensics experience strongly preferred

Preferred qualifications:

• Mandarin and/or Korean language ability
• Direct experience with sanctions processes, particularly involving DPRK or Chinese entities
• Published research or public speaking on DPRK crypto theft or Chinese money laundering
• Familiarity with cross-chain bridge and mixer laundering, guarantee marketplaces, or Chinese underground-banking networks
• Recognized domain authority in this specialized field
