Senior Director of Product (f/m/d)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential deep-tech organization based in Munich that is scaling AI-powered industrial imaging solutions across multiple market segments. We are searching for a Senior Director of Product (f/m/d) who has shipped physical products at mass scale and can build the product function that delivers globally successful hardware-enabled AI systems.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who has lived the scaleup journey and knows how to turn breakthrough technology into coherent, market-ready products across industrial environments.

Responsibilities

You will own the Product function end-to-end, including Product Management, Technical Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Quality Management & Compliance. Your mandate is to create the capability to scale advanced technologies into global products with coherence, speed, and quality.

• Deliver product coherence across the entire lifecycle, turning customer insights and strategy into mass-scale industrial products
• Define standards, processes, and areas of accountability across product teams to ensure speed and quality at scale
• Build a unified product ecosystem spanning experience, requirements, architecture, metrics, and compliance
• Guide regulatory compliance and certifications as a business enabler across multiple product lines
• Elevate customer evidence standards to achieve product viability and desirability
• Translate scientific and AI/ML capabilities into products that work at global scale
• Own roadmap prioritization and make strategic trade-off decisions
• Build and lead a high-performing product organization through hiring, mentoring, and capability development

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

• 15+ years of professional experience with 7+ years building organizations and shipping products
• Industrial product DNA: proven track record shipping physical products in industrial environments at mass scale
• Scaleup operator who has lived the 50→500 person scaling journey at a deep-tech company
• Engineering background with direct experience building or leading at least two of: Product Management, Technical Program Management, Systems Engineering, or Product Quality functions
• Experience leading product architecture transitions from individual products to scalable hardware platform products
• Customer-anchored approach with discipline in translating customer insights into shippable specifications
• Extreme ownership mindset with accountability for product outcomes, not just process
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience shipping embedded AI or physical AI products
• Senior Director or VP-level experience
• Track record at deep-tech scaleups that scaled from early customers to global reach
• Industrial life science sector experience
• Engineering leadership background
• Demonstrated success with highly successful market products

Location & Work Arrangement: Munich, Germany with flexible hours and home office options. International relocation support available.

Pay

This position offers comprehensive compensation including base salary and equity participation. Our client provides stock options, relocation support to Germany, €1,750 annual learning & development budget, fitness membership, childcare reimbursement, full public transportation coverage, 30 days paid leave, and work-from-anywhere flexibility up to 60 days per year.
