Talent Acquisition Manager, Canada

GHD seeks an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead recruitment initiatives across Canada from our Mount Pleasant, Vancouver office. As a full-time member of our People and Culture team, you'll own candidate attraction, pipeline development, and placement strategy that fuels our growth across engineering and professional services.

Position Summary

This strategic recruitment role focuses on attracting and placing talent across GHD's Canadian business lines. You'll manage the complete hiring cycle—from role definition and sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding—partnering closely with department leaders to understand talent needs and deliver high-calibre candidate slates. Your expertise will span technical and professional recruitment within the engineering, environmental consulting, and infrastructure sectors.

Core Duties

• Lead full-cycle recruitment: job specification, candidate sourcing, screening interviews, reference checks, and offer management
• Develop and nurture talent pipelines through active networking, targeted outreach, and relationship building with candidates and recruitment partners
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define competencies, technical requirements, and timeline expectations for open positions
• Source candidates using applicant tracking systems, job boards, LinkedIn, and professional networks specific to engineering and consulting markets
• Assess candidate capabilities, cultural alignment, and project readiness through thorough evaluation and stakeholder feedback
• Support new hire integration and gather recruitment process feedback to continuously improve effectiveness
• Track hiring metrics, report on recruitment performance, and identify trends to guide strategy

Who We're Looking For

• 3+ years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, ideally within engineering, consulting, or professional services environments
• Demonstrated success sourcing, screening, and placing candidates for technical and professional roles
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across candidate and internal stakeholder groups
• Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and modern recruitment platforms
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent recruitment searches with diligence and attention to detail
• Understanding of Canadian employment legislation and best practices in talent acquisition
