IT-Systemadministrator (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential live events technology organization seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join their European technical team in Hamburg. Reporting to the IT Manager Europe, you will oversee and manage both internal and client-facing systems and hardware, ensuring smooth operations across multiple venue locations throughout Germany.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Serving as the technical point of contact for client services teams, supporting all ticketing equipment inquiries at event venues
• Managing central device and MDM systems, flexibly adapting device profiles as needed
• Maintaining accurate asset inventories and tracking hardware across the organization
• Ensuring IT systems comply with established security standards
• Processing service desk tickets from Germany with speed, professionalism, and a solution-oriented approach
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at various event venues throughout Germany
• Collaborating closely with the Senior IT Manager Europe and supporting your team with IT challenges
• Working as part of the European IT support team, coordinating with colleagues in other EU markets and providing support as needed

Required qualifications and experience:

• Experience in 2nd-level support with demonstrable passion for IT
• Strong expertise with Windows clients; familiarity with MacOS is ideal
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, and virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V)
• Understanding of networking concepts including IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, and WLAN
• Ability to manage iOS and Android devices via MDM
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with attention to detail
• Clear, patient communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Comfort working in dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders
• Proactive mindset with ability to contribute innovative ideas
• Fluent German and English language skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, or Cisco Meraki

This is a hybrid position based in Hamburg, allowing you to balance on-site venue support with office-based system administration work.
