Senior Planner (SC Cleared)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential project controls consultancy seeking a Senior Planner with active SC clearance to join their Glasgow team. This is an immediate-start, full-time position offering hybrid working arrangements with two days per week on site.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, realistic, and defensible schedule estimates for construction works
• Define the Basis of Estimate for construction schedule scope, including key assumptions and exclusions
• Integrate closely with Cost and Risk Management teams to ensure alignment of all estimates and assumptions
• Support the Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) process in collaboration with the Risk team
• Identify and manage key internal and external interfaces including procurement, consents, and dependent projects
• Work with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure buy-in to construction schedules
• Validate schedule estimates through benchmark data and design information including BIM
• Review supplier submissions and build schedules from first principles
• Manage schedule hierarchy, integration, and change control processes

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Active SC clearance (required prior to application)
• Proven experience in construction or infrastructure environments
• Solid scheduling expertise with Primavera P6
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Confidence building schedules from first principles and reviewing supplier submissions
• Understanding of schedule hierarchy, integration, and change control
• Familiarity with NEC or FIDIC contracts
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a collaborative mindset
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Desirable Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent in construction, engineering, project management, or related field
• Knowledge of QSRA, design processes, and CDM regulations
• Experience in stakeholder management
• Membership of APM, AACE, PMI or similar professional bodies with relevant certifications
• Experience using Power BI and other reporting or analytics tools
