Senior Associate (w/m/d) – International Operations & Site Build-up

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization in their search for a Senior Associate to drive international operations and site build-up. This role offers direct collaboration with executive leadership and genuine ownership of strategic initiatives from day one.

You will be instrumental in building and developing an operations hub in Cairo, working across the full spectrum from strategic design to hands-on execution. This includes program management, operating model design for new functions, and process optimization with local teams. You'll serve as the vital bridge between teams in Germany and Egypt, with steep learning curves and real impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed ramp-up plans for new teams and functions in Cairo, including knowledge transfer and resource planning
• Design operating models for new functions, assess workflows for efficiency and scalability, and optimize processes collaboratively
• Build PMO frameworks for build-up initiatives, manage timelines, and create transparency for leadership across both locations
• Track financial performance against business cases and provide clear reporting to executive leadership
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
• Serve as a key interface between all internal departments in Germany and Cairo, bringing together diverse perspectives pragmatically

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in top-tier consulting or comparable roles building international sites (e.g., GCC, BPO, or shared service centers)
• Structured problem-solving ability to bring clarity to complex situations and translate ambiguity into pragmatic solutions
• Strong business case and financial acumen, including cost-benefit analysis and KPI tracking
• High degree of ownership and execution strength—hands-on, pragmatic, and results-oriented
• Excellent intercultural communication skills, from junior team members to senior management, across locations and cultures
• German and English proficiency at C1+ level
• Willingness to travel approximately one week per month to Cairo, with remaining time based in Berlin
