Technical Architect (all genders)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential enterprise CRM consultancy in the Böblingen area. They need a Technical Architect who will own the end-to-end technical design of their largest client engagements—from data models and integrations through to production AI implementations. This is the seat where architecture decisions are made first, not fixed later. You will define how solutions are built, write the designs that engineering teams execute from, and defend those choices in front of client IT leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete architecture of enterprise CRM engagements, including object models, data structures, and integration patterns
• Establish and lead architecture review gates so no build begins without documented, peer-reviewed design
• Eliminate unplanned rework by identifying integration and data-model issues during design rather than mid-build
• Design production-grade agentic AI solutions using modern LLM APIs and integration frameworks, including access control, evaluation metrics, and cost governance
• Build and maintain a reusable library of proven integration and data-model patterns that accelerates delivery on future projects
• Lead the technical side of pre-sales for enterprise opportunities, shaping both solution design and effort estimates
• Raise technical standards across the team through architecture reviews, technical deep-dives, and clear documentation engineers trust

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• 5+ years designing architectures for enterprise CRM or comparable business platforms, including at least one multi-brand or multi-business-unit implementation
• Hands-on integration design experience connecting CRM with ERP, PIM, e-commerce, or data platforms, with clear knowledge of when to apply each pattern
• Proven experience taking an LLM-based or agentic solution into production—not just prototypes—including data access design, evaluation frameworks, and cost control
• A portfolio of architecture documents and decision records you authored yourself, which engineering teams built from and clients approved
• Ability to hold technical ground with client-side architects and IT leadership in both German and English
• Solid estimation judgment: you can translate design choices into effort and understand which decisions protect project margin

Nice-to-haves:

• Deep platform knowledge in enterprise CRM systems, including custom objects, data governance, and permission models
• Background in custom development or software engineering before transitioning into architecture
• Consulting or agency experience managing architecture across multiple parallel clients

Tech environment: Enterprise CRM platforms, modern LLM APIs and integration frameworks, collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence), resource management platforms, plus the client-side systems you'll integrate (ERP, PIM, e-commerce, data warehouses), and AI-assisted development tooling.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based at our client's Böblingen headquarters.
