About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential professional events and media organization seeking a Director of Marketing to join their London team. Our client operates in the B2B space, connecting finance professionals across Northern Europe through conferences, digital content, and community-building initiatives.

This is an in-office role based in central London (Victoria area) with occasional international travel for events. You'll lead marketing strategy and team development in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant autonomy and impact.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set clear goals and expectations, evaluate team performance regularly, and handle recruitment and onboarding.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
• Campaign Management: Oversee the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email marketing, social media, and web.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, product development, and other teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
• Take full ownership of content strategy and execution, working directly with senior leadership on business-critical initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of marketing experience with demonstrated outstanding performance in B2B or events marketing
• Proven track record leading and developing marketing teams
• Relentless drive and desire to excel, with an unparalleled work ethic and high sense of urgency
• Strong ownership mentality—proactive, accountable, and reliable in following through on commitments
• Excellent communicator, particularly in verbal and written English
• Highly organized with exceptional ability to structure and prioritize work in a dynamic environment
• Genuine curiosity about people with strong relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working in-office Monday through Friday (remote work not available)
• Willingness to travel internationally for conferences and events
