Site Reliability Engineer -Cloudstore (m/f/d)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential cloud infrastructure company in their search for a Site Reliability Engineer. This organization operates at the intersection of sustainable technology and enterprise cloud solutions, with a focus on air-gapped environments and edge deployment frameworks.

You'll join a platform team responsible for building deployment automation frameworks on top of distributed cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll work with modern DevOps tooling in a security-first environment with high automation standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and build frameworks for packaging and deploying software solutions on cloud platforms
• Drive development of Kubernetes-based infrastructure and implement GitOps workflows using tools like FluxCD
• Onboard internal engineering teams to deployment frameworks and cloud platforms
• Conduct system analysis in ambiguous situations and make data-driven architectural decisions
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability
• Work with observability stacks including Prometheus and Grafana for metrics, logs, and traces

What We're Looking For

• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and internals
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially OpenStack, including infrastructure provisioning and management
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Strong experience with Kubernetes containerization and orchestration
• Skilled in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with modern observability stacks for metrics, logs, and traces
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, and Go
• Understanding of security fundamentals including IAM, secrets management, hardening, and compliance
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts such as CAP theorem, consensus, and fault tolerance
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and strict documentation discipline
• Ability to thrive in collaborative product-team environments with ownership mentality and blameless culture mindset
• Strong communication skills and passion for continuous improvement
• Fluency in German and English preferred for this Cologne-based role
