Senior Analytics Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded technology company in the construction sector, and our talent team is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to take full ownership of their data infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely or from their modern Berlin office, with significant autonomy and impact across the organization.

In this position, you'll own the complete data pipeline—from ingestion through to the dashboards and reports that drive decisions for product teams, internal stakeholders, customers, and investors. You'll work in a calm, collaborative environment that values quality, automation, and AI-native development practices.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the dbt pipeline, continuously improving data models for reliability, testing, and extensibility
• Maintain and extend the Looker environment, delivering dashboards and reports that stakeholders depend on
• Strengthen and optimize data pipelines from Postgres to BigQuery, building custom Python automation to keep the warehouse current
• Integrate the data warehouse with external platforms such as Salesforce and marketing automation tools
• Treat data models as production code—version-controlled, tested, and documented to ensure accuracy and trustworthiness
• Automate routine processes using third-party tools and CI/CD workflows, freeing time for high-value work
• Leverage AI coding tools, particularly Claude Code, as a core part of your daily development workflow

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Significant professional experience building and maintaining data models with dbt and writing advanced SQL
• Solid Python skills for data syncing, automation, and scripting tasks
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery and source databases like Postgres
• Proven ability to build dashboards and communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders (strong Looker experience is highly valued)
• Strong familiarity with AI coding tools—especially Claude Code—and comfort using them as part of your standard workflow
• Pragmatic problem-solving approach with high ownership and ability to drive projects independently
• Excellent communication skills in English

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with reverse ETL or integrating data warehouses with CRM and marketing platforms
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD or automation pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions
• Experience preparing data and reporting for external audiences including customers or investors
• Interest in data engineering best practices, pipeline reliability, and infrastructure-as-code
