About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing sports technology company based in Cologne that is building a digital platform for amateur football communities across Europe. They are seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founder on strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will own cross-functional projects from conception through execution while building the organizational processes that will scale the company through its next phase of growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ownership of strategic and operational projects, driving them from initial concept through to successful execution
• Design and continuously improve core company processes to support rapid scaling
• Collaborate directly with the founder on cross-functional strategic initiatives and organizational priorities
• Support process optimization across various operational departments as business needs evolve
• Prepare decision-making materials, strategic analyses, and presentations for the leadership team
• Bridge communication and coordination across different functional areas to ensure alignment

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in strategy and operations roles, with demonstrated ability to drive results
• Fluency in both German and English
• Strong process-oriented and structural thinking, with ability to create order from ambiguity
• Proven track record of independently executing projects in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Proficiency with Notion, project management tools, Google Workspace, and Slack
• Genuine interest in football and community-driven platforms
• Startup mentality: comfortable shaping processes without established playbooks
• Able to work on-site in Cologne at least twice per week

Preferred background:

• Previous experience at a high-growth startup
• Early-stage experience building People or organizational processes

Important to note: This role is significantly more hands-on than the title suggests. You will execute and take direct ownership across shifting topics, not just plan and delegate. The exact focus areas will be refined collaboratively with the team.
