Senior Rollout Manager (f/m/x) – DACH

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential energy infrastructure organization that is expanding high-power charging networks across Europe. As Senior Rollout Manager for the DACH region, you will own end-to-end delivery of multiple charging site implementations—from rollout planning and site preparation through construction, commissioning, and handover to operations.

You will translate rollout objectives into integrated site and portfolio implementation plans, defining priorities, sequences, milestones, and dependencies while ensuring clear governance from site development and permitting through construction and commissioning to operational handover.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing holistic accountability for a portfolio of charging locations in DACH, with particular focus on the most complex, high-risk, or strategically important sites
• Steering scope, timeline, dependencies, risk exposure, cost risks, quality, safety, compliance, and operational readiness throughout the project lifecycle
• Leading cross-functional implementation across planning and permitting, construction, grid connection, logistics, and related workstreams
• Driving timely decisions, resolving conflicts, and actively managing critical interfaces between property, civil works, electrical engineering, grid connection, hardware installation, testing, and commissioning
• Directly managing external planning offices, contractors, installation companies, and implementation partners—setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and managing operational and commercial risks
• Owning portfolio risk, change, and action management—identifying critical risks early, defining countermeasures, and executing recovery plans for delayed or significantly off-track sites
• Making decisions within your delegated authority and preparing clear decision templates for senior leadership when escalation is required
• Building and maintaining trusted relationships with authorities, grid operators, property owners, local stakeholders, and implementation partners
• Delivering concise, decision-oriented reports for senior stakeholders covering progress, forecast dates, forecast confidence, material risks, cost and commercial exposure, partner performance, and recovery actions
• Establishing and continuously improving rollout standards, governance routines, templates, and implementation guidelines

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading implementation of complex infrastructure, construction, energy, mobility, telecommunications, or comparable multi-site rollout programs
• Track record of taking end-to-end outcome accountability across the implementation lifecycle—not just individual project tasks or work packages
• Strong program and project control capabilities including integrated planning, risk management, dependency management, change control, and senior-level reporting
• Experience managing external partners and influencing internal stakeholders in a matrix organization
• Solid practical understanding of interfaces between site development, permitting, civil works, electrical engineering, grid connection, commissioning, and operational handover
• Clear and structured communication in German and English
• Valid driver's license and willingness to collaborate regularly with teams at site locations
• Team player who works under time pressure with high quality standards

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience implementing electric vehicle charging infrastructure, renewable energy installations, or other decentralized customer-facing infrastructure
• Established working relationships with authorities, grid operators, property owners, and construction partners in one or more DACH markets
• Experience with high-voltage or electrical infrastructure interfaces and commissioning/handover into an operational network
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills or comparable project control tools
• Relevant university degree, technical qualification, or comparable professional experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, or a related field
