Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential renewable energy technology organization in their search for a (Senior) Product Manager Heating & Cooling based in Berlin. In this role, you will own the heating and cooling product line end-to-end, ensuring households receive reliable, cost-effective space heating, hot water, and cooling solutions.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Owning product strategy and roadmap for the heating and cooling product area across multiple European markets
- Defining customer outcomes around comfort, cost, control, and reliability, with measurable KPIs to track success
- Translating hardware and field constraints into actionable product requirements while cutting non-essential work
- Driving thermal optimization within the energy management system
- Aligning hardware integrations, energy management software, and customer-facing experiences into a cohesive product
- Writing specifications, running product discovery, prioritizing features, and shipping solutions
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate brings:
- 5+ years of product management experience working on hardware-software integrated products, particularly in energy, HVAC, or similarly physical systems
- A proven track record of owning customer outcomes across multiple engineering teams
- Comfort working at the intersection of OEM interfaces, optimization algorithms, and customer UX
- Excellent English and German language skills
- Currently based in Germany or willing to relocate
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience with heat pumps, SG Ready, EEBus, Modbus, or OEM cloud APIs
- Field or installer experience in the heating and cooling industry
- Background in thermal optimization or home energy management systems with heat pumps
- Experience shipping heating and cooling products across multiple countries
