(Senior) Software Developer (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software consultancy based in Nuremberg that delivers custom IT solutions for local clients and develops proprietary products. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join cross-functional project teams working on full-stack web applications, cloud migrations, and AI-driven research projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire development lifecycle—from architecture and development through to deployment and monitoring—while mentoring junior colleagues and driving technical initiatives forward.

Responsibilities

• Take a key role in cross-functional teams developing high-quality software solutions for clients or internal products
• Identify technical challenges, develop effective strategies, and implement solutions collaboratively
• Own the complete development process: conception, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Write clean code with comprehensive unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
• Work on new web application development, modernize legacy systems, execute cloud migrations, and contribute to AI and research initiatives
• Develop using web technologies including Angular frontends and Java with Spring Boot backends
• Support team members with your expertise, take ownership of technical topics, and mentor less experienced colleagues
• Bring your own ideas, take initiative, and drive projects forward with responsibility and vision
• Coordinate with stakeholders and design new features aligned with business requirements

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in software development with demonstrated ability to integrate AI effectively into daily workflows
• Deep knowledge of Java or web frontend frameworks like Angular, with willingness to contribute across the full stack
• Ideally, hands-on experience with several of the following: Spring Boot, Angular, databases, AWS, DevOps, cloud technologies, GenAI, IT security, accessibility standards
• Passion for software development that goes beyond pure technical implementation—you want to truly understand customer requirements and needs to deliver the best possible solution
• Curiosity, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to share knowledge so the team learns and grows together
• Strong communication skills in German (minimum B2 level) and English
