Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a well-established technology consultancy serving enterprise clients across the United States. We're seeking an experienced Golang Developer to join their remote engineering team and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications.

This is a 100% remote, full-time W2 position open to candidates anywhere in the United States. U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are welcome to apply. Our client cannot sponsor new H-1B visa petitions for this role.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design and build high-performance backend services and cloud-native applications using Go, with focus on latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency
• Develop infrastructure tooling and systems where performance is a first-class concern
• Build and maintain production gRPC and REST APIs
• Work on Kubernetes-native development using client-go and controller-runtime
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions
• Contribute to shared codebases used across multiple engineering teams
• Raise engineering standards through code review, design review, and mentorship of junior engineers
• Debug complex issues and optimize system performance in production environments
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and container-based deployment workflows

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience overall
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Go in production environments
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency patterns including goroutines, channels, and contexts
• Proven experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go
• Experience with Kubernetes-native development (client-go, controller-runtime)
• Solid working knowledge of both relational and key-value data stores
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and networking fundamentals
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment
• Excellent debugging and performance-engineering skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with focus on documentation

Preferred qualifications:

• Open-source contributions to Go-based projects
• Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers
• Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming
• Background with security-sensitive Go projects including cryptography and authentication
• Experience with WASM, Tinygo, or embedded systems

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $100,000–$175,000 annually

Compensation is determined based on experience level, technical expertise, and overall qualifications.
