About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential public opinion research organization based in London. Our client conducts sophisticated polling, focus group research, and audience analysis to help institutions navigate complex societal challenges. They operate with a startup culture where collaboration and intellectual curiosity drive impact.

We're seeking a Senior Research Associate to deliver high-quality research projects across quantitative and qualitative methodologies. This is a Monday-Thursday in-office position with Friday remote, offering the chance to shape public discourse on critical issues facing British society today.

Responsibilities

• Deliver public opinion research projects using both quantitative and qualitative methods
• Regularly conduct polling and focus groups for clients across government, media, business, and civil society
• Provide excellent client management and ensure all deliverables meet the highest quality standards
• Craft research findings into clear, compelling reports and presentations that provide actionable insights
• Contribute to the development of the research agenda, identifying gaps and opportunities for new projects
• Cultivate and secure new research projects by building relationships with potential partners
• Represent the organization in external settings including media appearances, roundtables, events and conferences
• Communicate research findings to diverse audiences including policymakers, civil society, and media
• Support the development of junior research staff, providing day-to-day guidance and structured professional development
• Build and maintain relationships with research partners, academic institutions, and partner organizations

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience in a research, polling, policy or political context (research agency, think tank, communications firm, or political organization)
• Excellent writing skills with experience producing high-quality written outputs such as reports, briefings, or op-eds for various audiences
• Experience interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and producing outputs that tell compelling stories
• Strong understanding of the UK political system and keen interest in current affairs and public policy
• Aptitude and desire to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality outputs for clients
• Curiosity for understanding people and a desire to use data to tell insightful stories about Britain today
• This role is less suitable for candidates whose primary experience is in academia
