Strategic Account Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential hospitality technology organization in their search for a Strategic Account Manager to serve customers across Australia and New Zealand. Our client operates a globally recognized platform used by properties in over 150 countries, and they're looking for an experienced hospitality professional who can act as a trusted strategic partner to their most important accounts in the APAC region.

This is a remote position based in Australia or New Zealand, with regular travel requirements across the region to meet clients face-to-face and provide on-site strategic support.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of large, complex hotel and hospitality property accounts across the APAC region, serving as their primary point of contact and strategic advisor
• Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with senior hotel stakeholders through regular touchpoints, strategic business reviews, and on-site property visits
• Drive account growth by identifying upsell and expansion opportunities while implementing proactive retention strategies across your portfolio
• Provide consultative guidance leveraging your hospitality expertise to help customers optimize revenue, operations, and commercial performance
• Manage complex customer escalations and collaborate cross-functionally with Support, Sales, and Product teams to ensure effective resolution
• Analyze customer data and usage trends to identify opportunities for deeper product adoption and improved business outcomes
• Gather and communicate customer feedback and requirements to help inform platform development and strategy
• Conduct on-site customer visits across Oceania and Asia Pacific, with estimated local travel once per month and more extensive regional travel once per quarter

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hospitality industry experience in senior operational or commercial roles such as Revenue Manager, Director of Revenue, Operations Manager, General Manager, or similar positions within hotels or hospitality properties in Oceania
• Advanced understanding of hotel operations and commercial strategy, including revenue management, distribution, pricing, budgeting, and property management systems
• Deep experience in the Oceania hospitality market with strong knowledge of regional customer expectations, business practices, and high-value relationship management
• Exceptional communication skills with executive presence and the ability to influence and present effectively at all organizational levels
• Proven track record managing complex, high-value customer portfolios with strong organizational skills and results-driven mindset
• Ability to learn technology platforms quickly and translate technical concepts into practical, strategic recommendations for hoteliers
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader APAC region

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with SaaS platforms or hospitality technology systems as either a power user or in a customer-facing technology role
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM and account management tools
• Significant market experience in key resort markets across the region
