About This Opportunity
We are representing a leading global beauty and personal care organization in their search for a Senior National Account Manager to join their UK Mass Sales team in London. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the London office (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) with remote work available on remaining days.
Our client operates a diverse portfolio of beauty brands across color cosmetics, skincare, hair care, and personal care, distributed through major grocery and retail channels throughout the UK. This role offers the opportunity to manage key grocery accounts and drive profitable growth across a range of established consumer brands.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales, profit, and market share targets across designated grocery accounts
- Develop and execute strategic Joint Business Plans aligned to both customer and business objectives
- Lead annual commercial negotiations, including trading terms, promotional plans, and investment agreements
- Manage full customer P&L responsibility, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations
- Analyze sales performance, stockholding, forecasts, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks
- Deliver accurate sales, volume, and financial forecasting
- Partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure successful execution of plans
- Monitor and optimize promotional performance and return on investment
- Manage invoice and credit-related activities to maintain account health and commercial compliance
- Provide insights and recommendations to support wider business decision-making
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in a National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager role within FMCG
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth and profit targets within a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong P&L management capabilities
- Advanced negotiation and influencing skills, with experience leading annual trading negotiations
- Experience developing and executing Joint Business Plans
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions
- Ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent forecasting, planning, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities
- Experience within the grocery sector is highly preferred
