Senior Tax Accountant, EMEA

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health technology organization in their search for a Senior Tax Accountant to serve as the tax lead for their EMEA region. This is a remote position based in the UK, reporting to the Senior Manager, International Tax.

Our client is a rapidly growing organization with expanding operations across EMEA. This role will take ownership of all tax provision, compliance, and tax audit matters for the region, working closely with external advisors and local finance teams while partnering with the U.S.-based corporate tax team on cross-border matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions for EMEA entities under U.S. GAAP and local statutory standards
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of corporate income tax and indirect tax filings across multiple EMEA jurisdictions
• Coordinate with accounting/finance teams and external tax advisors on all regional tax matters
• Assist with operational tax matters including withholding taxes and tax registrations
• Support and manage tax audits, enquiries, and correspondence with local tax authorities
• Partner with U.S. tax, legal, and accounting teams on entity restructuring, transfer pricing documentation, and permanent establishment (PE) risk analysis
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across the region and assess business impact
• Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for new business and existing operations in EMEA
• Maintain accurate tax compliance calendars and documentation, ensuring robust control and risk management
• Perform EMEA tax research and work with external advisers to support business initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or tax required
• At least 5 years' experience in corporate tax within a multinational organization or Big 4/public accounting environment
• Professional qualification in Tax, Accounting, or Finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA) preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of EMEA direct and indirect tax rules, reporting obligations, and tax accounting standards
• Experience with US GAAP tax provision preparation and review (ASC 740) preferred
• Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and international tax frameworks (e.g., BEPS, Pillar Two)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to partner effectively across time zones
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
