Senior Software Engineer - Android
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential on-demand logistics organization in their search for a Senior Software Engineer - Android based in London. This is a hybrid role, typically requiring three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale Android applications that handle complex, real-time interactions at a global scale
- Lead architectural improvements and conduct code reviews to ensure maintainability, visibility, and operational health of the mobile codebase
- Partner with product managers and designers to plan projects, contribute to technical decisions, and influence team roadmaps
- Own large-scale features from design through delivery, promoting operational readiness across production systems
- Mentor colleagues, encourage efficiency, and participate actively in the engineering hiring process
- Simplify maintenance processes and drive technical execution across the consumer-facing mobile platform
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience building Android applications at scale, with deep understanding of the Android SDK, AndroidX, and modern development tools including Android Studio
- Proven ability to scale Android architecture and deliver high-performance mobile experiences in fast-paced environments
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, with continued interest in advancing what's possible with Kotlin
- Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design
- Commitment to software craft, with focus on writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code
- Experience leading code reviews and architectural decisions for production mobile applications
