About the Role

Core Duties

• Exercise independent judgement and provide governance oversight of organisational strategy, programmes, and performance
• Contribute specialist knowledge to board committees and discussions on anti-corruption initiatives and public sector reform
• Review and scrutinise financial statements, risk management, and organisational accountability measures
• Support the development and refinement of strategic initiatives addressing maladministration and governance failures
• Engage with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external partners to advance the organisation's impact
• Attend scheduled board meetings and actively participate in deliberations affecting organisational direction

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in governance, board-level oversight, public administration, audit, or compliance within non-profit or public sector contexts
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability, and judgment in complex organisational matters
• Understanding of South African public sector dynamics, regulatory environment, and governance frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership principles
