Senior AI Engineer – AI Accelerator (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential retail technology organization seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join their AI innovation team based in Lille or Paris. In this role, you will work within an agile team of 8 specialists to transform complex business challenges into concrete demonstrators (PoC/MVP). You will serve as the critical bridge between business needs and AI capabilities, going beyond coding to deliver solutions that create real value.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Rapidly prototyping intelligent solutions using GenAI and agentic systems that can scale globally
• Continuously improving team velocity by defining standards for rapid prototyping
• Designing AI systems with future industrialization in mind while maintaining code structure and quality
• Challenging existing processes to propose AI-driven designs that generate business value
• Collaborating in weekly co-design sessions with cross-functional stakeholders
• Sharing learnings and best practices with the broader technical community

What We're Looking For

Required Technical Skills:

• Expert-level Python proficiency and SQL knowledge
• Hands-on experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, Autogen)
• Working knowledge of LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral) and vector databases
• Proficiency with Git, cloud platforms (GCP/Azure), Docker, and spec-driven development tools
• Strong background in Data Science and ML Engineering with particular interest in agentic systems

Professional Experience:

• Proven track record of rapid prototyping without sacrificing code quality
• Experience transforming business problems into technical solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments

Soft Skills:

• Strong empathy and active listening skills when working with end users
• Passion for knowledge sharing and continuous learning

Language: French proficiency required for this role based in France.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid work model with presence in either Lille or Paris office.
