This organization partners with enterprise clients to deliver measurable business outcomes through advanced analytics, machine learning, and strategic technology implementation. We're seeking a Data Scientist to join their growing German practice based in Heidelberg.

This is a client-facing role where you'll work on high-impact transformation initiatives across multiple industries. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable models, deliver actionable insights, and help organizations modernize their approach to data and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex datasets and build machine learning models that solve real-world business challenges
  • Develop and deploy algorithmic solutions that transform critical business processes
  • Apply modern AI techniques including supervised learning, deep learning, and emerging agentic approaches
  • Take ownership of technical workstreams from data exploration through production deployment
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Contribute to organizational change initiatives by implementing data-driven innovations
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Travel regularly to client sites throughout Germany and occasionally across Europe

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree with strong academic performance in a quantitative or STEM field (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline)
  • Demonstrated experience through internships, academic projects, or research involving data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning
  • Hands-on technical skills in Python or R, with exposure to modern ML libraries and frameworks
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new techniques and domains
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments
  • Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel several days per week to client locations as project needs require
  • Located within reasonable travel distance of Heidelberg or able to accommodate regular travel to the region
