MTLA (Mensch) – Mikrobiologie, Infektionsdiagnostik & Labormedizin | Labor Mainz

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential medical diagnostics laboratory in Mainz seeking an experienced MTLA (Medizinisch-technischer Laborassistent) to join their microbiology team. In this role, you will:

• Process and analyze diverse sample types including stool, urine, drinking water, and other specimens
• Cultivate and identify bacterial cultures using colony morphology, microscopy, and biochemical testing methods
• Perform fungal diagnostics covering dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds
• Conduct microscopic and immunological detection of parasites and amoebae
• Identify microorganisms using MALDI-TOF and Vitek-XL systems and perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing
• Execute microbiological drinking water analyses including Legionella, Pseudomonas, and colony count determinations
• Maintain quality management protocols including internal and external quality controls and SOP documentation

What We're Looking For

• Completed qualification as MTLA (Medizinisch-technischer Laborassistent)
• Experience in microbiology, laboratory medicine, or infectious disease diagnostics is advantageous
• Independent, meticulous, and collaborative working style
• Excellent German language skills (minimum C1 level required)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory quality standards
