About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential legal technology organization seeking a Legal Engineer to support Tax & Audit teams in Munich. Our client is building AI-powered solutions for professional services firms and requires someone who understands both the technical and advisory sides of modern tax and legal practice.
This role sits at the intersection of legal operations, product consulting, and client relationship management. You'll work directly with Big 4 and professional services teams across the DACH region, helping sophisticated tax and legal advisory practices maximize their use of cutting-edge technology platforms.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to tax partners, legal advisory leaders, and consulting teams—building trusted relationships and identifying high-value opportunities for technology adoption across service lines and jurisdictions
- Take ownership of client relationships from pilot stage through firm-wide adoption, working closely with Go To Market and Customer Success teams
- Act as the voice of tax and legal advisory users internally, translating insights from tax structuring teams, regulatory advisory practices, and consulting functions into product development priorities
- Deliver clear, confident product demonstrations and training sessions to audiences ranging from individual tax partners to global advisory teams
- Document best practices from leading professional services firms and contribute to scalable playbooks for global rollout
- Guide tax and legal advisory teams through the strategic evaluation of AI technology, including ROI analysis and competitive advantage assessment across different service lines
What We're Looking For
- Professional background in law or tax, with experience at a Big 4 firm or leading professional services practice in the DACH or Benelux market
- Fluency in German (essential for this Munich-based role)
- Exposure to multiple service lines, jurisdictions, or innovation initiatives within professional services
- Strong technical curiosity and comfort navigating conversations around generative AI, technology implementation, and productivity tools
- Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups—you can translate technical concepts for tax partners and explain advisory workflows to engineers
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations and maintain composure in fast-moving environments
- Experience evaluating and improving processes through technology adoption, whether in tax compliance, regulatory analysis, or multi-jurisdictional advisory work
- Self-directed work style with proven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
- Understanding of professional services commercial realities: team leverage, value demonstration, complex matter management, and balancing technical excellence with delivery
- High standards for quality coupled with pragmatic execution—you ship improvements iteratively rather than seeking perfection
