Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defense-support organization seeking a Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS) to provide clinical and prevention services to military families in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. This role serves as a clinical provider and prevention specialist supporting intervention efforts related to domestic abuse, child maltreatment, problematic sexual behavior in children and youth, and family wellness within the Air Force community.

The FAIS will augment treatment services and perform clinical and prevention responsibilities in support of the Family Advocacy Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical intervention, counseling, assessment, and case management services to individuals, couples, families, and groups
• Support assessment and treatment of domestic abuse and child maltreatment cases
• Conduct psychosocial, safety, risk, needs, and other clinical assessments as appropriate
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment and safety plans
• Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, advocacy, and clinical casework
• Deliver secondary prevention services addressing domestic abuse, child maltreatment, and problematic sexual behavior in children and youth
• Deliver orientation and annual training to commanders, leadership, and key agencies
• Serve as a prevention facilitator and program representative for community action teams and organizations
• Develop, promote, and implement prevention programs under program management direction
• Develop social marketing and outreach strategies to increase awareness of family maltreatment prevention resources
• Identify family violence trends and collaborate with personnel and community organizations to target prevention efforts
• Maintain accurate documentation of prevention activities and support required program reporting

What We're Looking For

Required Licensure and Education:

• U.S.-licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with Master's degree from a CSWE-accredited school, OR
• U.S.-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with Master's degree from a COAMFTE-accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program, or appropriately qualifying allied mental health degree with equivalent Marriage and Family Therapy study
• Unrestricted professional license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain required privileging within the Military Treatment Facility
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination

Required Experience:

• LCSW: Two years of post-MSW experience within the last three years in a clinical/treatment setting
• LMFT: Two years of experience within the last two years as a marriage and family counselor
• Two years of full-time post-master's clinical counseling experience serving individuals who are abusive or abused
• Demonstrated group therapy facilitation or co-leadership experience
• Experience working with children, families, groups, professionals, and community agencies

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel within the assigned area for outreach, prevention, and community activities
• Ability to work in clinical, office, community, and other approved environments

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $80,000–$120,000 USD annually.
