About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Software Engineer, Regulatory Reporting based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, high-impact engineering team responsible for automating critical compliance and financial regulatory processes through innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated solutions for compliance and finance regulatory processes
- Build systems that process large volumes of data from data warehouses to generate accurate regulatory reporting
- Create reconciliation frameworks to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy
- Provide technical leadership including architectural guidance, work prioritization, and hands-on development
- Conduct code reviews and evolve technical standards and best practices for the team
- Partner with stakeholders across Compliance, Finance, and Treasury teams to understand regulatory obligations and business requirements
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into clean, scalable technical solutions
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to maintain reporting systems
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of software design and development experience including CI/CD, source code control, testing, and quality management
- High proficiency in Python and SQL with strong database design capabilities
- Experience working with data warehouses such as Snowflake to generate complex solutions at scale
- Self-starter with strong sense of urgency and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Technical stack: Python, SQL, Snowflake, Retool, Docker, Kubernetes, Argo, Metaplane, REST APIs
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience in post-trade automation space designing systems for complex data problems
- Experience generating financial industry regulatory reports such as EMIR, MFID, SFTR, CPR, K Factor, or similar
