IT Specialist / Administrator (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential nutraceuticals organization based in the Rüsselsheim area. Our client is a family-owned business seeking an IT Specialist / Administrator to help build and modernize their in-house IT infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional ticket-based support and take genuine ownership of network, server, cloud, and endpoint environments in a growing organization with short decision paths.

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop network and firewall infrastructure including Fortinet FortiGate, VLANs, VPN, and segmentation
• Operate and optimize Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms (Hyper-V / VMware)
• Manage Microsoft 365 tenant including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, and Intune
• Implement standardized endpoint management for Windows and iOS devices including onboarding and offboarding processes
• Build robust IT security and compliance structures including access control concepts, backup strategies, and documentation
• Automate routine processes using PowerShell or Python

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven experience as an IT System Engineer or Administrator
• Deep expertise in at least two areas: network/firewall, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, or IT security
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate as well as Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy Objects
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune
• Structured, proactive working style with ability to identify needs independently rather than waiting for tickets

Nice to have:

• Experience in production or manufacturing environments (OT/IT convergence)
• Certifications from Fortinet or Microsoft
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 or NIS2 compliance frameworks
