Senior Relationship Manager (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international banking institution with a strong presence in Frankfurt am Main. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to drive corporate client development and relationship management in one of Europe's premier financial centers.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The role offers significant exposure to cross-border corporate banking, trade finance, and international client relationships across European and global markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the corporate client portfolio by identifying and acquiring creditworthy corporate clients in Germany and international markets
• Conduct market and industry analysis to identify target clients, new business opportunities, and potential growth areas while maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective clients
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with senior management and key decision-makers of corporate clients
• Develop thorough understanding of clients' business models, strategic priorities, and financial needs, translating these into appropriate client strategies and account plans
• Identify and develop business opportunities across corporate banking, lending, trade finance, cash management, and financial markets products
• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end client and business process from initial acquisition through credit approval, contract execution, and implementation
• Collaborate closely with Credit, Financial Markets, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure efficient and compliant transaction execution
• Monitor client, industry, and credit developments while identifying potential risks and opportunities for sustainable portfolio growth

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Corporate Banking, Relationship Management, and/or Credit, preferably gained within a commercial or international bank in Germany
• Proven experience in corporate client acquisition, business development, and relationship management, ideally with an established network of corporate clients in Germany
• Solid knowledge of corporate banking products, lending and credit processes, as well as the German corporate and financial market
• Strong business development, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills with a clear commercial and customer-oriented approach
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken; additional Chinese language skills are an advantage
• Strong initiative, ownership, and resilience with the ability to work independently in an international and multicultural environment
• High risk awareness and ability to balance business development objectives with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements
