Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential defense sector organization seeking a Full Stack Developer for a permanent position based in Nuremberg. You will play a key role in developing and evolving a sophisticated information fusion system, working across the entire technology stack.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and advancing the software architecture of complex data integration systems
  • Hands-on development across the full stack: backend services in Java and Python, frontend applications in React and TypeScript, and data persistence layers
  • Creating and implementing APIs and backend services, integrating them with modern frontend applications
  • Containerizing applications using Docker and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins
  • Working within a Linux-based development environment using modern tooling including Git and Jira
  • Contributing to the evolution of system architecture with a focus on scalability and maintainability
  • Integrating modern AI and agent-based approaches into existing systems
  • Refactoring and continuously improving existing components with emphasis on performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Collaborating closely within an agile Scrum team and actively participating in technical decision-making
  • Providing technical support and mentoring to team members

What We're Looking For

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable qualification or professional training
  • Several years of experience in full-stack software development
  • Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on experience with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript)
  • Experience with Python in production or supporting contexts
  • Solid experience with Docker and CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Proficiency with Linux-based systems and development environments
  • Strong command of Git and collaborative workflows
  • Understanding of modern software architectures (e.g., microservices, modular systems) and relational databases
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI and agentic systems
  • Ability to take technical ownership and provide guidance to team members
  • Passion for hands-on development and sustainable software quality
  • Very good German language skills and good English proficiency, both written and spoken
