Financial Controller

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential streaming media company seeking a Financial Controller to join their Berlin-based team. This role reports directly to the CFO and will provide critical accounting and controlling support for the consumer subscription business. While based in Berlin, you'll collaborate closely with finance colleagues across multiple European locations.

Responsibilities

• Own all controlling and finance matters for the consumer subscription business line
• Support monthly close activities with timely, accurate reporting and analysis
• Partner with business stakeholders on forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Lead digitalization and automation projects to enhance finance operations
• Develop and implement process and system improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Business Intelligence, Marketing, and other departments
• Serve as a primary user and expert for essential financial systems
• Build driver-based business models and predictive forecasting scenarios
• Create dashboards and reporting tailored to specific stakeholder needs

What We're Looking For

• Strong educational background in accounting and controlling
• Minimum 5 years of controlling or FP&A experience
• Fluent English (written and verbal)
• Proven experience supporting distributed, multi-location teams
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Analytical, systematic, and strategic mindset
• Proactive, independent working style with strong attention to detail
• Experience with AI and BI tools and methodologies
• Expertise in modeling, scenario building, and predictive forecasting
• Strong mathematical and data analysis skills
• Track record of delivering high-quality work in fast-paced environments
• Bonus: International work experience and business partnering background
