About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential biopharmaceutical organization in their search for a Dedicated Care Coordinator based in the NY Metro area. This is a remote, field-based role supporting patient access to specialty medications in inflammation and immunology. You will own the complete patient journey—from enrollment through post-fill follow-up—working directly with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, payers, and third-party partners.
This is a non-promotional position requiring exceptional case management skills, reimbursement expertise, and the ability to navigate complex insurance landscapes while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Own 100% of assigned patient cases from enrollment through post-fill follow-up, serving as the central point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
- Conduct benefits investigation and verification, including Summary of Benefits discussions covering product costs, out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles, and copay options
- Manage the complete prior authorization process, including submission, verification, and appeals support with both patients and providers
- Coordinate patient appointments and baseline assessments with providers and third-party vendors, ensuring timely completion and follow-up
- Administer interim care programs, voucher eligibility and shipment, and copay card enrollment and troubleshooting
- Triage prescriptions and conduct post-fill follow-up at 10 days and 45 days to confirm no outstanding logistical or financial issues
- Maintain detailed case documentation in the CRM system, including real-time updates on every patient and provider interaction
- Report adverse events in accordance with regulatory requirements—this role has elevated AE reporting obligations due to frequent direct patient contact
- Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues and hub partners to resolve patient access barriers
- Manage high-volume concurrent cases averaging approximately 20 days per patient journey with disciplined documentation and follow-through

Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical or related industry experience in customer-facing roles
- Minimum 6 months as a Field Reimbursement Manager, Patient Access Coordinator, Field Access Specialist, or similar access and reimbursement role
- Working proficiency in Polaris CRM or similar system, including case management, documentation, and prescription triage
- Demonstrated ability to communicate directly with patients, providers, and cross-functional colleagues
- Experience conducting benefit investigation and verification directly with payers
- Working knowledge of prior authorization and appeals processes
- Strong understanding of copay programs, maximizers, accumulators, vouchers, and interim care programs
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy networks, government payment systems, and specialty medication landscape

- Exceptional critical thinking skills and ability to explain complex processes to diverse patient populations
- Eastern time zone availability
Preferred:
- Experience in patient-facing roles requiring access and reimbursement education
- Prior hub experience
- Experience with encrypted email platforms (Kite works or similar), DocuSign, and copay portal administration
