About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Data Integrity Specialist to join their Health Information Management operations. This role is critical to maintaining accurate electronic health records and ensuring data quality across clinical systems. You'll work remotely within the United States, investigating and resolving complex documentation issues that directly impact patient care and organizational compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve issues reported through EHR work queues, user-reported problems, and patient concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensure data and document quality by performing chart corrections and maintaining unique patient identifiers across network databases
  • Research and identify documentation issues, executing necessary correction processes to preserve EHR integrity
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to report and resolve documentation problems in accordance with organizational policies
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes according to established procedures
  • Provide support and education to EHR end users across the organization
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to report distribution within EHR, ancillary, and vendor databases
  • Produce accurate operational reports and monitors

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Health Information Management or a related field
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with electronic health record systems
  • 1-3 years of experience working with medical terminology and chart content
  • 1-3 years of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security standards
