About This Opportunity
We are representing a high-growth technology company serving the insurance sector. Our client has built an AI-powered platform used by nearly 60 of the world's largest insurers to transform how they assess and price risk. Backed by top-tier venture capital and scaling globally, they're looking for a Systems Associate to join their internal IT function in London.
This is a graduate or entry-level role with real progression potential. You'll be the front door for all internal technology requests, evolving from queue owner to platform expert as you build the technical and operational skills that make internal systems run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Own incoming technology requests: triage, prioritise, route, and resolve issues while keeping stakeholders informed throughout
- Apply ITIL/ITSM principles to ensure service requests are handled efficiently and consistently
- Identify recurring patterns and root causes, then implement solutions—better templates, self-service workflows, proactive communications—that prevent repeat tickets
- Build scripts, automations, and integrations that reduce manual work and improve the internal platform over time
- Serve as the go-to expert for colleagues using internal applications, devices, and AI tools—helping them understand what's possible and removing friction
- Contribute to strategic platform projects, including infrastructure design and technical foundations (approximately 20% of the role)
- Document processes, create knowledge base articles, and improve how the team shares information
What We're Looking For
- Graduate or candidate with 1–2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role
- Comfortable writing scripts and configuring automations—you think in repeatable patterns rather than one-off fixes
- Already using AI tools as part of everyday work (triage, documentation, automation scaffolding) with good judgment about when they help and when they don't
- Self-directed problem solver who researches issues, tests solutions, and comes back with recommendations rather than just questions
- Reliable under volume: can own a queue, keep work moving, and maintain high standards whether handling routine requests or complex changes
- Strong communication skills—able to explain technical concepts clearly and keep non-technical stakeholders informed
- Honest about what you know and don't know yet, with a track record of applying feedback quickly
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship details available upon application)
