Social Media Manager

About This Opportunity

Our recruiting team is representing a confidential veterinary telemedicine organization that's redefining how pet parents access care. We're searching for a Social Media Manager to build and scale their social presence into a high-impact growth and brand channel.

This is a fully remote position available to candidates residing in Canada or the following U.S. states: Tennessee, California, Illinois, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Oregon, Colorado, or Washington.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute social strategy across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms
• Create and publish high-performing content including short-form video, static posts, reactive content, and trend-based material
• Partner with Creative and Content teams to develop scroll-stopping, on-brand assets
• Manage content calendar aligned to campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments
• Drive engagement through active community management, responding to comments, DMs, and conversations
• Identify trends, memes, and cultural moments to create timely, relevant content
• Collaborate with Growth teams to test paid amplification, whitelisting, and creator content strategies
• Work with PR and Partnerships on influencer and celebrity integrations
• Analyze performance metrics, create reports, and optimize based on engagement, reach, shares, share of voice, and conversion signals
• Support lifecycle and cross-channel content for email, SMS, and landing pages as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of experience managing and growing social media for a consumer brand
• Proven ability to create content that drives engagement, growth, and conversions
• Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video trends
• Strong creative instincts with an eye for what performs versus what simply looks good
• Experience working cross-functionally with Growth, Creative, Product, and PR teams
• Data-driven mindset with comfort using insights to iterate quickly
• Ability to move fast, test, learn, and adapt in a high-growth environment
• Willingness to take calculated risks and try new approaches
• Strong project management and analytical skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills with attention to tone and brand voice

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in consumer, health, pet, or subscription-based businesses
• Experience with influencer/creator partnerships and whitelisting
• Familiarity with performance marketing and paid social campaigns
• Experience launching or scaling a brand's social presence from early stages

Compensation and Benefits

Our client offers a competitive compensation package including base salary of $80,000 plus equity, comprehensive health/dental/vision insurance, flexible PTO, 401k plan, and a robust holiday schedule. This is a remote role with quarterly visits to their San Francisco headquarters and other meetings as necessary.
