About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing renewable energy provider in France, and our talent team is searching for an experienced Lead Data Analytics to join their Paris office. This is a business-partnering role where you'll drive data strategy for commercial teams—Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience—translating business challenges into high-impact data solutions.

You will lead a dedicated data pod, define roadmaps, mentor analysts, and ensure every deliverable creates measurable value. This is an opportunity to shape how a dynamic organization uses analytics and AI to power growth.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience leadership, identifying high-impact data initiatives (customer segmentation, cross-sell models, etc.)
• Define and execute the commercial data roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring prioritization drives real business outcomes
• Lead and develop a team of data analysts and scientists, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and professional growth
• Champion the use of AI and machine learning where appropriate, expanding the team's toolkit and maturity
• Ensure technical quality and clarity of data models, dashboards, and analyses
• Collaborate with peer data teams across geographies to share best practices and contribute to group-wide data strategy
• Present insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences with clarity and impact

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, with at least 2 years managing or leading a team in a similar environment
• Proven experience in commercial analytics, predictive modeling, and reporting
• Academic background in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, or a specialized data science program
• Strong command of SQL and Python or R; proficiency with dbt for data modeling
• Comfortable with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Practical experience with AI tools and familiarity with machine learning algorithms
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills—able to translate complex concepts for business audiences
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving drive, and a proactive approach to launching initiatives
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for collaboration with international colleagues; French proficiency required for daily work in Paris
