Senior Software Engineer – Prism – Security

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential security technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. In this role, you will lead technical work building systems that transform security data into actionable intelligence for security analysts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning small-to-medium projects from technical design through production deployment, including data modeling, background tasks, and API development
• Optimizing features for performance and reliability at scale by profiling queries, managing timeouts, and designing for diverse customer environments
• Writing high-quality TypeScript and React code, with Node.js services and APIs as needed
• Building telemetry, tests, and safeguards to ensure predictable system behavior in production
• Conducting code reviews, supporting teammates, and contributing to continuous improvement of team practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across security, platform, database, and support organizations

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Several years of experience building and maintaining production software systems
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript, particularly with React and Node.js
• Proven track record of leading projects from conception through successful deployment
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code while maintaining ownership of outcomes
• Strong collaboration skills across functions and teams, with ability to transition seamlessly between projects and codebases
• Capacity to work autonomously and drive results in a distributed team environment using asynchronous, direct, and transparent communication

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with SIEM/UEBA technologies
• Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization techniques
• Experience building AI-assisted or agent-guided workflows with human controls
• Background working on security, search, or observability platforms
