Senior SharePoint Migration Lead (EDMS)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization based in Paris that is undertaking a strategic enterprise-wide transformation program. Our client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Migration Lead to spearhead their document management system modernization initiative. This is a pivotal role where you will define migration strategy and coordinate cross-functional teams through a complex EDMS transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Document Management and Migration workstream during the program feasibility phase
• Define comprehensive end-to-end document migration strategy, including migration rules, scope, governance frameworks, and decision-making processes
• Develop migration roadmaps, pilot approaches, phased migration waves, and detailed execution plans
• Build and validate migration cost models, budget forecasts, and business case recommendations for leadership
• Coordinate activities across Business Process Owners, Data Analysts, Quality teams, Records Management, IT, Architecture, Procurement, and implementation partners
• Establish migration principles encompassing metadata mapping, document cleansing, deduplication, transformation, reconciliation, and validation protocols
• Challenge and validate migration methodologies, estimates, and assumptions presented by vendors and system integrators
• Prepare decision-making materials and strategic recommendations for program governance committees
• Provide expert guidance on EDMS migrations, records management, information governance, and document lifecycle management best practices

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree or equivalent in Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Quality, or related field
• Extensive professional experience in EDMS and Records Management, Information Governance, or Document Lifecycle Management
• Proven leadership of at least two large-scale document migration programs involving multiple repositories
• Strong experience building migration strategies, budgets, resource models, pilot plans, and migration roadmaps
• Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms such as Documentum, OpenText, Veeva QualityDocs, SharePoint, or similar repositories
• Background within pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, or highly regulated industries
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Fluent English required
