About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global media agency in their search for an Associate Director, Project Management based in London. This is a transformative role within a specialized team that delivers integrated marketing solutions for a major technology client.

As part of a larger project management practice, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead the rollout of enterprise workflow systems. This critical position combines strategic facilitation with hands-on technical implementation, requiring someone who can translate business requirements into structured processes while championing adoption across diverse teams.

A primary focus of this role includes leading the end-to-end implementation and adoption of Wrike as the primary project management platform. You'll architect custom workflows, drive process automation, and ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise tools—all while managing change management and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project processes from requirements gathering and scoping through to resource planning and delivery
  • Design and architect bespoke workflows, custom fields, and blueprints within Wrike that reflect the agency's service delivery models
  • Drive process automation by identifying inefficiencies and building automated triggers, rules, and workflows to streamline execution
  • Facilitate cross-capability integration, ensuring project management tools sync effectively with Google Workspace and financial reporting platforms
  • Act as primary technical point of contact for platform support, troubleshooting, and feature requests
  • Monitor system adoption and health using reporting tools to identify bottlenecks and iterate on workflow designs
  • Drive internal communications related to project delivery with stakeholders across multiple workstreams
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies, including training sessions and best practice documentation
  • Ensure project deliverables align with overarching business objectives and understand cross-project dependencies

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

  • Experience as a project manager, transformation manager, or change manager, preferably within a media agency environment
  • Advanced platform expertise as a system administrator or power user in modern work management tools (Wrike, Asana, Monday.com)
  • Proven ability to build robust processes, complex relational dashboards, and custom fields from scratch rather than using templates
  • Proficiency in Google's suite of office management tools (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
  • Proactive, creative, and independent strategic thinker with impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong problem identification and solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to lead through influence and demonstrate strong negotiation skills
  • Experience documenting requirements and translating them into technical configurations
  • Excellent proactive communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record delivering high-quality projects on time
  • Ability to balance team needs with stakeholder expectations
  • Right to work in the UK required

Desirable experience:

  • Formal experience managing project teams
  • Previous work experience in both technical and non-technical projects
  • Understanding of digital media delivery processes including social, search, app, and programmatic
  • API and integration experience connecting project management tools with enterprise software ecosystems
  • Data-driven workflow optimization using reporting and analytics features
