About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential industrial technology organization expanding across Germany. They've developed a monitoring solution that helps facilities prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime. We're seeking a Sales Development Representative to build outbound pipeline and create conversations with industrial decision-makers.
This is a phone-first outbound role. You'll spend your days speaking with plant managers, maintenance leaders, safety teams, and operations decision-makers. Experience in industrial environments is valuable but not required—we're equally interested in candidates from high-volume B2B outbound backgrounds who demonstrate strong phone skills.
Responsibilities
- Build outbound pipeline through cold calling, supported by email and LinkedIn outreach
- Research target companies, identify relevant contacts, and map accounts before engaging
- Start conversations with industrial prospects and qualify genuine opportunities based on pain, urgency, and decision-making process
- Hand qualified opportunities to Account Executives with complete context
- Work attendee lists before trade shows and execute follow-up campaigns afterward
- Identify expansion opportunities across additional facilities and sister sites within customer groups
- Maintain organized prospecting activity and pipeline data in HubSpot
- Use modern sales and AI tools to accelerate research, preparation, and outreach
- Help develop the outbound playbook by documenting effective approaches, messaging, and objection handling
What We're Looking For
- Strong cold-calling and communication skills with a hunter mentality
- Proven experience in outbound prospecting, sales development, inside sales, or another call-heavy role
- Comfort creating opportunities proactively rather than relying on inbound leads
- Strong technology literacy and confidence working with CRM, sequencing, prospecting, and AI tools
- Ability to research accounts and identify relevant stakeholders beyond working through contact lists
- Good qualification skills and disciplined handoff process to Account Executives
- Resilience, curiosity, coachability, and comfort in fast-moving environments
- Strong organizational skills and CRM discipline
- Fluent German and strong English language skills
Preferred background: Experience prospecting into industrial technology, manufacturing, wood processing, recycling, paper, fire protection, industrial automation, predictive maintenance, or similar environments is a strong advantage. We're also open to candidates from SaaS or other high-volume outbound environments who can demonstrate strong phone skills and pipeline generation ability.
