About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their London team. Our client is at the forefront of cloud-native banking technology, and this role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge infrastructure automation and deployment systems that power modern financial services platforms.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Support engineering teams in building reliable, scalable applications
  • Design and build tools to make services scalable and highly available, automating wherever possible
  • Develop observability and orchestration tooling to allow customers to monitor and manage their deployments
  • Contribute to disaster recovery, backup and redundancy tooling and strategy
  • Improve codebase quality by building new tools and processes

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar technical field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering
  • Production-ready infrastructure management tooling development experience with Python or Golang
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following: Observability Tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana), Databases (Postgres, DuckDB), Event Streaming platforms (Kafka), or Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, GitHub Actions)

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting production systems in high-consistency transactional environments
