Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential AI technology client seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join their AI development team in London. In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain production systems that power AI-driven customer experience products, primarily working in Python ML tech stack with occasional work in Rails
- Collaborate with ML scientists to transform proof-of-concept code into robust, scalable production solutions
- Partner with product teams to shape AI-powered product experiences that deliver real customer value
- Contribute across all phases of software development including ideation, prototyping, implementation, and testing
- Participate actively in hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers
- Raise technical standards for performance, reliability, and operational excellence across the engineering organization
What We're Looking For
Our talent team is seeking candidates with:
- 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality products
- Strong software engineering fundamentals—no ML experience required; you'll learn as you work with the team
- Demonstrated significant impact in previous work
- Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or similar)
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
- Strong bias towards progress over perfection
- Willingness to invest in continuous learning and technical development
- Commitment to fighting for good outcomes
Bonus qualifications: Previous experience in data analytics or statistical roles
