About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital consultancy based in London seeking a Senior QA Engineer with deep mobile expertise. Our client works on business-critical transformation projects across a range of sectors, and they need a quality champion who can drive automation excellence, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and mentor teams through sustainable testing practices.
This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the London office.
Responsibilities
- Co-design and evolve scalable automation frameworks for mobile applications (iOS and Android) and APIs, integrating automated checks into CI/CD pipelines
- Embed quality early in the delivery lifecycle, incorporating test data management, mobile security principles, accessibility, and performance checks across core user journeys
- Partner closely with developers, DevOps, and security teams to enhance system testability, troubleshoot root causes, and build sustainable quality processes
- Define and refine test automation best practices, continuous testing approaches, and tooling to ensure high-performing, reliable digital products
- Support and empower fellow QA engineers through constructive code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical coaching
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in software quality engineering and test automation, with strong hands-on experience testing and automating mobile applications across iOS and Android, as well as APIs
- Strong software engineering and object-oriented programming skills in Java, TypeScript, and/or Python
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for mobile applications and APIs
- Demonstrable hands-on experience automating mobile applications across Android and iOS using frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, and/or XCUITest
- Passion for collaboration, technical excellence, and mentoring others
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements including security, accessibility, and performance testing
