Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential organization with multiple subsidiaries in a sustainable industry sector, based in Stuttgart's city center. As Head of Financial Accounting, you will:

• Lead the financial accounting function for the parent company and subsidiary entities
• Manage and mentor a team of five accounting professionals, serving as their primary point of contact
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings prepared under HGB standards
• Support your team in day-to-day operations through hands-on involvement
• Drive ongoing process optimization initiatives, including implementation of AI-powered solutions
• Take on additional responsibilities aligned with your experience and professional interests

What We're Looking For

• Minimum four years of professional experience in a comparable role, including independent preparation of financial statements
• Previous leadership experience, whether as a disciplinary or technical team lead
• Demonstrated background in process optimization combined with practical AI application
• Excellent written and spoken German communication skills
• Strong team orientation and enthusiasm for collaborative work environments
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

The position offers hybrid work (one day home office weekly after onboarding), 30 vacation days, core hours Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm and Friday until 1pm, public transport pass, company health insurance, accident insurance, and pension plan. The role is located in Stuttgart with excellent public transportation access.

Pay

Compensation up to €90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, paid directly by the employer.
