QA Engineer – Mid Level

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital consultancy based in Scotland that delivers technology-driven transformation projects for ambitious clients across multiple sectors. Our talent team is seeking a Mid Level QA Engineer to join their Dundee office on a hybrid basis (2 days per week on-site).

This role offers the chance to work on business-critical digital products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to both manual and automated testing strategies in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies independently, using product personas to guide user journeys and assess risk from code and configuration changes
• Build and maintain automated regression test suites, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback
• Investigate system health through logs and monitoring dashboards, proactively validating quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Conduct non-functional testing including Security, Performance, and Accessibility assessments using industry-standard tools
• Provide clear status updates in stand-ups and translate technical QA findings for non-technical stakeholders
• Identify and implement process improvements, evaluating new tools and techniques to enhance team efficiency
• Support onboarding of new team members into QA workflows while managing your own workload independently

What We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency with modern web automation frameworks such as Playwright, with demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable test code
• Hands-on experience using C# or TypeScript to interact with and test web applications
• Solid understanding of Agile/SDLC methodologies and both functional and non-functional testing practices
• Familiarity with white-box and security testing fundamentals
• Experience analyzing requirements, defining comprehensive test coverage, and proactively identifying and tracking defects
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while actively contributing to technical discussions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

Location & Working Arrangement
