Chief Product Officer – Product, Growth Systems & AI (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential Berlin-based staffing platform in their search for a Chief Product Officer. This organization is building an AI-first workforce operating system that connects students with flexible work opportunities at scale. They are moving aggressively from manual operations to intelligent automation, and they need a product leader who can drive that transformation while preparing the platform for acquisition-based growth.

You'll report directly to executive leadership and own the entire product, engineering, and growth systems strategy. This isn't a role for someone who delegates from a distance—you'll be hands-on in discovery, prototyping, specification, and delivery while building the team and platform architecture that supports both organic growth and M&A integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product thesis, focusing on no more than three major bets spanning direct self-service, matching automation, and a unified growth platform
• Build repeatable acquisition-to-staffing systems with measurable improvements in conversion, fill rate, margin, and speed
• Automate standardized campaign, routing, and matching processes using LLMs, coding tools, and agentic workflows to reduce manual effort and process costs
• Lead product and technical due diligence for acquisition targets, including synergy cases and 100-day integration plans for data, CRM, matching, and operations
• Integrate acquired staffing businesses onto a shared platform with demonstrable revenue, margin, or efficiency synergies
• Provide functional leadership for product, engineering, and technical marketing with clear decision rights and shared outcomes
• Establish structures that enable operational product decisions to run without CEO involvement
• Work closely with executive leadership and operations to ensure product development aligns with real-world business needs
• Drive hands-on delivery across discovery, prototyping, experiments, and product launches

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of experience with digital platform, marketplace, or vertical SaaS products with proven responsibility for measurable business and funnel outcomes
• Current hands-on experience in discovery, prototyping, specification, experimentation, and product delivery
• AI-first working style with proficiency in LLMs, coding and prototyping tools, and agentic automation
• Strong data and technical fluency: product analytics, SQL fundamentals, APIs, data models, integrations, and architecture trade-offs
• Experience with CRM, marketing automation, attribution, and self-service funnels (HubSpot or comparable systems)
• Track record of functional leadership across product, engineering, marketing, and operations
• Fluent German (C1/C2) and English (C1), written and spoken
• Strong bonus: experience with product/tech due diligence, platform integration, or post-merger integration (traditional M&A experience not required)

Pay

This role offers a competitive compensation package including €120,000 base salary plus performance bonuses and equity participation.
