Working Student | Accounting & Finance (m/f/d)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential clean energy technology client based in Munich. They are seeking a Working Student to join their Accounting & Finance team in a hands-on role with real ownership and growth potential.

This hybrid position offers flexibility around your studies (particularly during exams) and requires at least 15 hours per week with one day in their central Munich office. Upon graduation, this role has the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of Accounts Payable operations for German and US entities, including invoice verification under HGB/US-GAAP standards, applying correct accounts and cost centers, and preparing payments for approval
• Assist with monthly closing activities by coordinating with internal stakeholders and tax advisors to ensure accurate expense recording, complete documentation, and proper reconciliation
• Support monthly financial reporting, including cost and budget tracking
• Own documentation of finance processes, creating guides for auditors, tax advisors, and team members
• Potential to contribute to expense management optimization, accounts receivable tasks including order processing and invoicing, and process improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or comparable field
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to identify tasks, take ownership, and deliver reliable results
• Comfortable working with financial data and spreadsheets
• Strong communication skills with ability to convey information clearly to internal and external stakeholders
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles (HGB, US-GAAP) and strong interest in practical accounting work
• Interest in tax, cost, and budget reporting
• Fluent in English (required) and German (B2 level minimum)
• Prior exposure to DATEV, QuickBooks, or Spendesk is advantageous
