We are representing a mid-sized industrial manufacturing client in Amberg seeking a Team Lead for Embedded Software focused on machine control systems. In this role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate a small internal development team of 2–3 engineers
- Actively contribute to software development with a focus on Linux and embedded systems
- Design and advance the software architecture for a new machine control platform
- Collaborate closely with external development partners on technical alignment
- Build and secure technical know-how internally through systematic knowledge transfer
- Drive the evolution of the control system from concept to core organizational competency
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks a hands-on technical leader with:
- Strong experience in embedded software development, particularly Linux-based systems
- Proven ability to lead small technical teams while remaining actively involved in development
- Expertise in software architecture design for industrial control applications
- Experience with platforms such as Raspberry Pi or similar embedded hardware
- Ability to work effectively with external partners and vendors
- Strong communication skills in German (required for daily operations)
- A pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to building technical capability
