Responsibilities
We are representing a fast-growing European fintech company expanding their product design team in Germany. As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of a complex B2B financial platform.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading discovery workshops and conducting user research with German-speaking customers to identify real user problems and business opportunities
- Analyzing data, user feedback, and business requirements to inform design decisions
- Creating solutions at appropriate fidelity levels—from initial concepts through to high-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders across sales and support to integrate technical constraints and business goals
- Taking ownership of the continuous development of your product area alongside your product manager
- Contributing to team growth by providing feedback to colleagues and participating in cross-functional initiatives
- Supporting recruitment efforts and potentially coaching junior designers as the team scales
- Bringing international best practices and current UX/UI trends to the German market
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks an experienced B2B product designer who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about solving real user problems.
Required qualifications:
- Proven experience designing complex digital products and systems—such as multi-module platforms, extensive feature sets, or complex data structures
- Strong ability to translate insights from user research, market analysis, and data into pragmatic design solutions
- Deep understanding of both user needs and business requirements
- Experience working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in cross-functional teams
- Ability to integrate technical constraints and business objectives into design work
- Clear communication skills with the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and advocate effectively for design solutions
- Fluency in both German and English—user interviews are regularly conducted in German
- Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment built on trust, autonomy, and transparency
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Experience in fintech, accounting software, or other complex B2B SaaS products
- Track record of conducting end-to-end design processes from problem definition through implementation
- Portfolio demonstrating work on systems with multiple user types or complex workflows
