About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential energy technology company based in Berlin that is transforming how European power markets operate. Our client is building sophisticated software systems that connect energy markets to physical infrastructure at scale.

This internship offers genuine engineering responsibility on production systems. You will own complete projects from problem definition through deployment, working directly with commercial teams on challenges that blend technical complexity with real-world market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering projects end to end, delivering real features that reach production
• Build and ship software that connects market operations to physical systems
• Develop solutions using modern tooling, including AI-assisted development workflows
• Collaborate directly with commercial teams to solve problems that span technical and business domains
• Take full responsibility for your work, from architecture decisions through deployment and monitoring

• Demonstrated excellence in a demanding field—you can point to an achievement that required sustained effort and discipline
• Proven ownership of projects or initiatives where you made key decisions and delivered results
• Intellectual curiosity that drives you toward complex problems rather than away from them
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions without constant guidance
• Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
• Legal authorization to work in Germany
