Senior Account Executive

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Senior Account Executive based in London. Our client is a rapidly scaling payments platform serving major global enterprises, and they need an exceptional individual contributor to drive Enterprise-level revenue growth.

This is a high-velocity sales role where you will own your pipeline end-to-end, prospecting and closing contracts with large payment service providers, gateways, and enterprise merchants. You'll operate with extreme ownership and urgency, reporting directly to the Sales Director and working independently to exceed ambitious targets.

Responsibilities

• Drive the complete sales cycle from prospecting through closing Enterprise-level opportunities with payment service providers, gateways, acquirers, and large merchants
• Independently manage and accelerate your pipeline with a fierce sense of urgency and accountability
• Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at target accounts
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering teams to ensure seamless client onboarding
• Partner with Client Success and Marketing to deliver customer training and activation sessions
• Develop strategic account plans for efficient handover to Account Management teams
• Consistently achieve and exceed targeted revenue metrics in a fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of payments industry experience in Sales or Business Development roles
• Proven track record of hunting and closing Enterprise-level clients with consistently outstanding results
• Deep knowledge of fintech payments, including comprehensive understanding of Local Payment Methods (LPMs) and how they fit within the broader ecosystem
• Extreme ownership and urgency – you thrive as an individual contributor with minimal supervision, maintaining high productivity and focus
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to optimize your sales aGet A Job.aiach
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities to engage stakeholders from technical teams to C-level executives
• Experience working in international environments and connecting with diverse cultures
• Additional language skills (Spanish/Portuguese) would be advantageous

Location and Work Arrangement

This role is based in London with a hybrid structure requiring 3 days per week on-site near Holborn/Farringdon/Covent Garden. The position includes 28 days holiday allowance plus a work-from-abroad policy allowing up to 30 additional remote working days per year.
